I have a 2003 Nissan Xterra. The AC blows but is not cold, put freon in it and it worked for about 300 miles but still wasn't as cold as it should have been. Tried to put more freon in but it shows full and won't take anymore. Any ideas will be helpful thanks in advance

Pay $85 and have it evacuated, checked for leaks 30mm of vacuum ...and filled with the correct oil PAG,# and amount. Then filled to the correct weight ONLY proper way, of refrigerant 134A. That's what I suggest..

I would first wait a bit till it would take a lil more freon with dye than put that in, run for awhile more, than look for leak. Than repair leak yourself (or take it in for repair). Than at that time evacuate and refill. Why pay to evacuate to find you have a leak, than have to do it again?
