battery light comes flashes on and off only in idle

The battery light flashes on intermittently only when I am in idle. When I rev the engine or drive the car the light goes out.

Sounds like a voltage problem.. check ur wiring to the alternator.. and the belt.. if the belt is cracked it could cause the voltage problem
