2004 nissan frontier hooked up battery wrong for about 6 seconds could hear a clicken noise , hooked it up correct an now i have nothing not even a horn . i do have lights.thats it,,,,,,,,,,,,,thanks ............v6 motor
there is something called a "fuseable link" that blows before serious damage can occur...there will be a spark...fire...look for the burnt halves of this link...one must test the alternator to make sure it survived the mishap~
i hardley know anything about cars any idea were this link chould be on this truck, thanks,,,,,,,,,,danny
just realized this is not a "reversed jump" but backwards install...perhaps the fuseable link did not blow...you'd have to inspect....this is here to stop damage from occurring....everyone with an alternator has a fuse link~
see if I can find a cartoon for you~
...okay it's on the positive battery terminal~
we get it all worked out then?~
hey man thanks it ended up being in the fuse box it had prongs but was bolted in had to take box apart an put the new fuse in an cranked first time thanks so much for taking time to help ,,,,,,danny
