What can cause the radiator to leak from the radiator cap
My 2004 Armada is leaking from the radiator cap. I replace the radiator cap twice and still leaking from the radiator cap when I increase the RPM to 1800. Does anyone know what cause for this to happen?
If you have replaced the cap and it's still leaking, I would suspect that you have a hairline crack in the neck of your radiator.
Also, make sure that the expansion tank hose is clear and not obstructed in any way. Are you getting overflow into the expansion tank? When the coolant in the system expands, it should absolutely go into the tank and not out the cap obviously..
Make sure that the mating surface on the radiator is flat and smooth ... even a small piece of debris will cause the cap to leak and make sure the tabs that the cap uses 1/2 turn are not bent
