Question type: Maintenance & Repair

There is a factory switch in the small storage compartment in front of the shifter. It looks like an on/off switch of some sort. There is nothing in the manual about it. I was wondering what it does. If you can help me out I would appreciate it . Thanks, Dave

It's possible it's a switch for the trans shifter, or perhaps a light switch. It may also have been added -- does your car have fog lights from a previous owner? Barring that, call a dealership and ask, they'll know.

The car has factory fog lights and the switch for them is on the left steering column with the headlight switch. The car is a six speed and this switch I am referring to really looks like a factory switch, not aftermarket. I am really curious what it does. Thanks again for the help. Dave
