which engine is better the 2.4L or the turbo 1.5

The power is about the same for each engine. The fuel economy for the small turbo engine is several MPG higher. I can't say which is better.

I would drive both and see which one you like better. Read reviews from owners and keep in mind that the turbo takes a certain amount of care such as idling it to cool it off before shutting it down. You also need to make sure you change the engine oil more often than a non turbo car if you want the turbo ($$) to last.

The MPG is definitely higher on the 1.5, however that typically requires premium gas to run efficiently. So it is kind of a wash.

1.5 has issues with gas diluting the engine oil for the models 2017+

It also has heating problems if you live on cold weather states.

1.5 litre has oil dilution problems. I can see turbo problems and valve train wear. i would want the 2.4 engine . Honda owners usual keep their automobiles for long time. We will see in the next couple of years how this 1.5 makes out.

If you like fuel getting in your oil, then buy the 1.5L turbo

I am really glad that we lucked out when buying a crv, we got the 2.4!! the 1.5 is crap, with all the oil dilution problems, there has been LOTS of complaints. I'a not sure that they have fixed the problem yet!!
