Urgent decision today! Should I lease a discounted X2 M35i ($7,000 down, 420/mo) or buy a '11 Volvo C30 low miles cash for $11,000?
I do not own a car now. Sold my last car 6 months ago...don't really need a
car. My part-time employment does not require a car. However I really loved
the M35i...but thought it was too expensive after test drive.
Then a friend turned me on to the little C30 at 227 HP. It's super safe and cute
with adequate power but no AWD.
Price differences are extreme but we're comparing a new car with an 8 year
old car. Both lux.
What should I do??? Have to make a decision today!
You're obviously reluctant to shell out that much money for the BMW; it's scary. Even considering the lease payments, high also, you're locked into the car for two to three years. The much lower price for the Volvo is attractive and I can see you really would like a car. BMW M35's will always be there if you change your mind in the future. Buying the older Volvo will appease the need for a car now, and you can always sell it or trade it if your employment status changes and the much higher price for the BMW is no longer perceived as so much of a concern.
