Why is my Battery and break light on

The battery light comes on when the battery is not accepting a charge. Could be alternator, battery , fuse(s), cables, grounds. In that order of likely-hood. Brake could be parking brake not all the way off, low fluid in master cylinder, or some other fault detected by ECU
