Have a 97 probe gt turns over but no sparks. Car ran fine and just died on the road. Replaced crankshaft sensor but still does not fire up.
Does the engine crank and spin freely or faster than you think it should? Can you remove the oil fill cap and see the camshaft turning when its cranking? If the cam isn't turning while cranking it has sheared the cogs off the timing belt at the crankshaft.

Okay, you say no spark. Do yo have fuel pressure? Did it die slowly or a sudden all stop?
Just died while driving. Did not check fuel pressure. But what does fuel pressure got to do with no spark
No fuel would indicate that the computer isn't powering up properly and energizing the relays. The basics, fuel, fire , air. I don't know what method you are using to test for spark so I have to ask simple questions.
Interior fuse panel #10 15amp, engine compartment fuse panel #3 30amp both power the pcm relay which powers the distributor. Other than pcm controls its that basic for the 2.5 engine.
OK thanks will try out what you said. I used a new spark plug on the cable to test for spark. Happy holidays
Bad news removed the valve cover and cranked the engine and the camshaft doesn't turn. Used a wrench to turn the crankshaft. The crankshaft turns fine but the camshaft is still not turning. There is still tension on the timing belt.
Timing belt stripped cogs at the crank gear.
If I change the belt will it be OK. Or do I need to see if the valves are bent
I don't see that it's an interference engine in the workshop manual so I think that you will be okay.
Opened timing belt cover and belt at crank end is striped. Will continue tmr thanks for the advice and a happy new year to you
