2019 Subaru Forester making ticking sound when not running

My husband and I have both noticed a constant ticking sound in the garage and
finally found the source - our leased Subaru Forester when it is sitting in the
garage turned off - sometimes when it has not been running for hours.  We
can't determine where on the car it is coming from or why.

I'm curious if you ever found an answer. My 2019 Subaru Forest also continues to make a constant sound, sometimes hours after I've turned it off. It's a light humming sound that comes from the rear of the car. It stops if I restart the car. I've wondered if it's related to the issue I've had with the tailgate not opening consistently.
