Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the trailer light connecter shut in the door and shorted out it burnt the uhaul box for the
trailer tow light connecter so i cut it out, and hooked up a tow light cable directly to the
wires, now when i push the brakes the parking lights come on and the dinger starts
ringing like i still have my lights on i cut out all the burnt wires and re wired it im pretty
sure it's wired right but im not sure what else it could be

You possibly hooked up the lights incorrectly. Disconnect the patch you made and see if it still occurs. If it does, then there may be a short elsewhere. You'll need a wiring diagram and a multimeter.
