97 ford explorer changed fuel pump ran for 15 mins died and won't start

My husband changed the fuel pump on our
97 ford explorer. After changing fuel lines
too it started right up. We drove it for 2 miles
and it died and haven't been able to get it
started again. Any help would be greatly
appreciated thank you

May be the fuel pump was not installed correctly or rebuilt and is defective Did he replaced the inline fuel filter also? If not, I would replace it and see if this helps.
