94 vr4 , clutch slippage

Asked by Nov 05, 2014 at 12:27 AM about the 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT 2 Dr VR-4 Turbo AWD Hatchback

new clutch one year ago, seems to function fine , but now its slipping under acceleration
at higher speeds, power goes down ,rpm's go up?  let off the gas and were back to
normal? starts from a stop with out a problem

Pressure plate is getting weak or you slipped the clutch too much and it is worn down enough so it won't hold like it use too.

clutch is practically new , 3000 miles only

I still think it is the pressure plate. Have you checked the hydraulics for the clutch? Are they releasing fully?

I'm having this same issue with my 92 3000gt can you let me know if you resolved this issue.

because the issue is intermittent recently i have been unable to repeat it The clutch was bran new, I can't explain it. it works fine 98% of the time. Let me know if you find out anything,thanks
