Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am removing the IAC to clean, Is there a test to determine if it is bad? If so, can it be repaired or have to buy the complete assembly

There is a certain resistance in the IAC I am not sure what that exact value is, but if you Google IAC resistance value for what ever car you are looking for you should be able to find it.

Are you getting a code for it? I would clean it up good from all the built up carbon. Make sure you clean the throttle body too! Reinstall and see if your issues go away. If not, you might want to test it like posted above and or just replace. Good Luck.

Try your local Mitsubishi dealer and ask for the parts department.
