which cylinder do you set at top dead center to time a 3000gt?? been stuck on this car for a few weeks now

you know how to set the timing on the cams right ?

Yes I do. Just wasn't sure which cylinder to go off of. The service manual wasn't very clear about which one it is. I assume its the first one on the front side?

If you mean the cylinder far right on the front bank when standing in front of the car,, then yes

yeh I know a few places how you coming along on the timing?

Still can't get the cover off yo get the old belt out

the timing belt cover ?? its not hard just some bolts holding it on

I've pulled all the bolts I can find and moved the motor mount and it still won't let go:/

which one the lower section or the top one?

I believe it was the top one

I have my cams in pace on the heads in the right place. is there a time spot for the crank shaft?
