2000 Mazda b2500 5speed

I have a 2000 Mazda b2500 I came home one day
and cleaned up a little bit jump back in truck and
when I turn it over it sounds like a loud power drill
noise and it's right under the gear shifter like the
starter is running but isn't hitting anything does
anyone know what that is it's been leaking
something around the transmission and it's leaking
at little power steering fluid and I think it shorted
out the crank shaft sensor not for sure can anyone
plz tell me what it is thank you

Sounds like the starter is not engaging the flywheel. Further inspection is required.

I still have warranty on starter I'm getting a new one Saturday just bought that one last November hopefully it's just the starter anything I can do to rig it up to work until Saturday can I still roll it official
