my 97 galants alt light comes on when i turn the steering wheel while its running also w [nt charge. allready replaced battery and alternator
this seems like a grounding issue...make sure there is a clean down to metal connection between the block and the Black Cable~ make sure the battery is newer then ten or has a voltage around or higher then 12.5 VDC~

alternator bracket especially too~
if alternator and power steering pump are on same belt the belt could be loose, or idler or tension pulley not keeping belt tight enough
