heat & air conditioning not working

my heater is not working, fan works but no heat

Is the vehicle itself heating up (temp gauge coming off low and in the middle)? If not, your thermostat is open and needs replaced. If you are getting heat, you may not be circulating the heated coolant through the heater core itself - it might be plugged - check the heater hoses when they exit the engine and connect through the firewall - if the heater is on high, both should be warm, if only one is warm and the other cold, then the core is plugged and will need replaced..
