Won't start

All of a sudden my 97 ford expedition 5.4 won't start, even thou windows, headlights, radio etc all work . I thinking it could only be the stater ? right ?

No not out of gas. its not turn over at all, no noise as if the battery was dead but its not

this has happened to me in the past as well and all of a sudden it began working for over a yr. just today it did the same thing. evything works as it should but the engine will not even turn over or make any sound. did you happen to figure out the problem to your expi? my expi is a 2000 model. thanks please email me at j.ran9@hotmail.com.

the 96-97-98 had bad ignition modgles on them keeping them from turning over,it lets no power go to starter.

My first test would be the starter/battery connections. If those are good, I would remove the starter and bench test it by hooking it directly to a battery via the switched power and ground terminals. If the starter works Then test the Ignition module for continuity. If you have current your back to the switch, or a broken wire.

My ford. 89expedition has new battery but if you let it sit for a wk will not crank something is draining battery dead even light radio don't work. Anybody know whats draining battery. I checked everything

The shift silenoid sensor on the transmission will keep it from starting

Its the shift linkage under the dash, twi T30 bots need to be tightened

I wrote on here a long time ago seeking advice, and I did figure out what my issue was causing the headache. The key chip had apparently malfunctioned within the plastic. After using the spare, I had no more issues. Hope this helps someone.

Hey guys i need help i swop out trans in my expy 4x4 to a 2wd trans just for now. The plugs was diff the 4x4 waz oval ( gray 9 wires) an the 2wd was Round white. 7 wires same colors on both but the 4x4 has 1 brwn/ o. An 2 purple/w stip only one the got hook up. Both hot the 2 wd has 4 soliniod in it an the 4x4 has 5 moved wires around been ALL OVER THE NET. No luck on it shifting out the over drive button works. ANY HELP BE GRATEFUL. ...sam
