When I drive over a rough road or a bump I hear a clunking sound from the front end? Car also jolts forward when I let off the accelerator?

Asked by Oct 14, 2013 at 02:10 AM about the 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I only hear the clunking noise
occasionally, usually when I don't
drive for a few hours. Car also jolts
forward when I let off the accelerator.
I have to let off of it easily. Also have
to really push into the pedal after the
jolt in order to get it up to speed. At
that point my RPM's are high. Only
have had the car for a month and
already had to replace the starter.
What's wrong with my car?:(

Sounds like a motor or trans mount is broken, get it fixed ASAP.
