Will not idle
2000 2.4 mitsubishi eclipse, alt voltage @ 14.35, battery tested @12.5 .... idle
control valve and throttle position sensor replaced....engine runs well,
acceleration normal, however will not hold idle when gas pedal is released
engine dies P,R,N,&,Drive, also has a wavering in headlights and dash
lights....any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated
Your battery isn't charging enough if it's only got 12.5 volts. I'm not to sure about the idle I used to have the same problem but I cleaned my throttle body and that solved it. Charge your battery and if you can get it running and it's still only putting out 12.5 make sure your grounds are clean
Battery could be bad
Clean mass air flow sensor and idle control valve on the throttle body take them both completely apart to get them clean
