Why does my ford contour shutter when going into OVERDRIVE

It doesnt happen when in overdrive is off

Usually the shutter is caused by a burnt overdrive band. Common issue if you have over 100K miles on the ford transmissions. Might also be torque convertor replaced. Only way to fix is replace it, which means rebuilding the trans. So a couple thousand dollars.
