I have a Mitsubishi Eclipse 2002. Driver's window do not open.

Asked by digidudi Dec 27, 2013 at 03:16 PM about the 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We tried opening the switch compartment. Everything seems to be fine.
Could it be the window is simply stuck? Or maybe the cable is doing short circuit
somewhere.
What to do?
Thanks!

Remove door panel and the three bolts holding the motor to the door frame. Make sure all cable are as they should be in and around the pulleys. Sometimes just bumping the motor against the door frame as you lightly push the down button will get a motor back to life for a month or so. Best to just replace it. They not that expensive. Hope this helps.
