Broke handle to open trunk of my 2001 Mercury Mountaineer how do i just open the glass part?

I broke the handle to open my trunk to my
2001  Mercury Mountaineer so how do i just
open the Glass window?

On my Expedition there is a window release button. If the handle is broken you will have to get your fingers under the glass.
