i HAVE TO USE GAS PEDAL TO START CAR, OTHERWISE IT CUTS OUT WHEN FOOT OFF GAS PEDAL??

most likely the IACV (idle air control valve) does it have an erratic idle? does it drive fine but the idle is erratic ? does it idle ok until it warms up? then it is most likely the IACV

iacv or iac sensor? i tried the sensor and no go--some other mechanic said fuel pump???? sensor was 150====iacv is 500??
