call the dealer parts line for the part #.then cross reference it at any good auto parts store...but check this link out...hope it helps >http://www.autozone.com/1/categories/mitsubishi-eclipse-neutral-safety- switches
Your part number should be 8604a011 with a dealer list price of $84.53
Here's a listing on ebay for the item...http://www.ebay.com/itm/MITSUBISHI-OEM-00-05-Eclipse- Neutral-Safety-Switch-8604A011-/251887623264 Or you can check this listing from Advance Auto...http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/carquest-by-intermotor- neutral-safety-switch-s26294/18971627-P? searchTerm=neutral+safety+switch
heres another for $59.00 >http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Neutral-Safety- Switch-Made-in-Taiwan-for-Chrysler-Dodge-Mitsubishi-/291478670401? _trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368......or go to auto zone like i posted above....
Thanks for the info, but those parts look nothing like the one that was on the original transmission. Could there be another?
If it doesn't look like the listing I gave you are you sure it's the neutral safety switch that you are looking for?
The part number I gave, 8604a011 is directly from the Mitsubishi dealer.
Not sure. I have installed a remanufactured transmission, put in all new sensors. Car will now move but hesitates and slams into 3rd gear.
and both engines use the same one...
