I have a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse, tires plus has had it for 2 weeks now and has failed to fix the problem at all.
I have a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse, tires plus has had it for 2 weeks now and a dealer just got it and told me they don't know what's wrong with it. the problem it went in with was that it started but after 1-3 seconds it would shut off right away. The mechanic replaced a head gasket, manifold, and now the car is spitting out security codes, but they have also tried to fix that. please some one give me the answer.
security codes ?
not so much codes, just what they told me is that the car thinks that it was stolen and shuts off the fuel injection I believe, but when they looked further into it, they found that wasn't the case
sounds like something the mechanic did while he was working on the head gasket,,, i really don't know what to tell you other than maybe try and do a bypass on the security system, i don't know how you bypass them on this car but i could tell you if it was a 3000gt/stealth though,, sorry i don't have better info for you though,, i can try to help you find how to bypass or delete the security system though if you want to try to do that
then again are they sure that's whats happening ?
