1992 Mercury Capri will not start
Was running great then lost power and died. Would not start. Did start next day but done the same thing
(lost power and died). I replaced fuel pump and coil. There is no spark from plugs.
make sure timing is correct, may have jumped time...if so replace chain & gears
wow does anybody know what the hell they are talking about? this car has a timing belt not a timing chain! and the no start condition is most likely the fuel cut off switch in the trunk it is easily tripped and is the simplest place to start even a harsh bump can set it off
and as far as the no spark is concerned the distributor caps and rotors on these engines are touchy check to make sure the points are clean and the rotor shaft has no play
