i just put a new fuel pump in a 93 cougar and it seems like its not getting power, any ideas?

just guessing from experience, on these cars you MUST perform a fuel pressure test. you can rent the tool for free at autozone i believe, and i have replaced alot of pressure regulators on this model of car, its located on the fuel rail, also check the MAP sensor, if you know a reasonable mechanic i would have it scanned, i hope this helps
