Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A 1995 Mercury Villagers.
Please tell me if there are parts to
be greased or lubed, The book
says one thing and to many others
say different.
Just don't seem right not to
grease a joint or freaking bolt on a
older vehicle.

No most people just replace. To much trouble to grease.

Usually by the time you feel something needs lubed on a C/V joint it is already too late, but if you feel you need to repack them, they make a boot kit that includes a pack of C/V joint lube. In all my years I have never had to replace a C/V joint that the boots were intact, as long as the joints are sealed and the boots in good operational condition the joints will usually last as long as the vehicle.
