Check the transmission fliud. It should be a red color. You could also put in an additive. Like Trans-X.

Is the check engine light on?

Best Answer

my truck is a 5 speed check engine light always been on sence i replaced oil pump last month

See if you can get a code reader and see if there are any tranny codes listed in the system, it is possible that you could have a bad solenoid pack inside the trans.

i though it would have something to do with transfer case because it goes into gear but it like its is in no gear

1 out of 1 people think this is helpful.

drive shaft not even turning

If you put it in Drive then into Park do you hear a chatter noise?

no noise and its a 5speed stick no noise at all

No noise at all, then it sounds like your clutch is toast, most likely the lining has crystallized and fallen off the plate itself, slip underneath and pull off the inspection cover, watch out for falling clutch pieces.

Do you have the electronic transfer case?
