Copy and paste, Faulty Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor - Faulty Crankshaft Position sensor - Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor harness is open or shorted - Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor circuit poor electrical connection - Low battery charge - Faulty Engine Control Module

is there any way to test crank sensor or possibly elimiate any other possible causes.

The CKP sensor is for the spark and the tach, the cam sensor is for the fuel injectors. Check the wiring around the compressor up to the top of the engine. Make sure the harness isn't rubbing on the belt of the compressor or the belt tensioner.
