1999 Mercury Tracer 2 litre; Knocks when I first start it up then goes away. Are the valves adjustable or possibly a wore rocker arm?

generally knocks are associated with the lower end of the engine like the rod bearings or connecting rods. the valves on your vehicle would not cause it, I recommend having someone with some experience have a listen
