does the back seat of the 1999 mercury mountaineer come out? I need to pack camping gear lots of it for a trip this summer.

It will take some doing but it will come out, just make sure you save all of the bolts and screws when you remove it, might be a good idea to take plenty of photos so you can put it back in when your done. I guess the big question is why do you want to remove it? you won't gain that much more room and you will have to deal with an uneven floor with the seats gone. I got a lot of stuff in my Mountaineer with just the seats folded down.
