replaced battery 1week ago didn't seem to hold a charge. will run if boosted from other vehicle.but only clicks when trying to restart after shut off after driving for 10-20 min enough time to recharge

Check the alternator. The clicking sound usually means the alternator is out. You can always take it to Auto Zone to have it checked for free. They will also jump starts your car if you can't get it started. Good Luck!
