i have a 2000 mercury cougar. in my fuel lines are hanging down. hiw do i fix them without messing them up?

Are you talking about under the car? I commend you for trying. Most lines are routed up in the uni body, not sure how yours came undone, rust? I can't advise you with a makeshift fix, and only recommend you take it to a shop tomorrow and have them make the adjustment or add a new clamp. If it is minor, it shouldn't cost you much. Maybe someone else can comment?
