Where is the starter located?
My car won't start and I've replace the
battery, alternator and gas pump. Trying to
trouble shoot what's causing this.
Right..passenger side .... this is with starter out, you can see the flywheel gears where the starter goes..click for full screen
Will it turn over but not start or just not turn over at all. (Not make a sound)
Good question, you may not need a starter.. solenoid attached..follow cable if necessary but if you answer dandyoun we might be able to help you better, Actually not might, we will...
It turns over and sounds like its tryin to start that's what lead me to think it was the fuel pump but that's good
Check plug wires to see that you are getting spark. If you are then check for proper fuel pressure to fuel rail.
Ok. Thank you
And if you need help on how to do that dandyoun will come to your house and fix your car. Ok, seriously, if you need help on how to check spark just let us know. But we know you do not need a starter...it turns over.
Thanks. Good to know I won't have to fork out $145 for a starter.
