What 3.0 engine can i swap with the 2.5 using factory 5 speed

I have a 2001 mercury cougar v6 2.5l 5speed and would
like to know what 3.0 engine I can upgrade to, using
factory transmission.

A Duratec 3.0 V6 out of a Taurus/Sable might work. I think this is possible but it will be a complicated and costly swap.
