Where are the major vacuum lines on 02 Mercury Sable that could help cause transaxle warnings light to blink.

Asked by Mar 18, 2017 at 03:54 PM about the 2002 Mercury Sable LS Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Our car has its transaxle warning light constantly blinking. From a stopped
position car will sputter and jerk then smooth out. Works fine in reverse.
Transmission fluid looks like thickened blood.

Scan for the codes first. Then you can try draining and replacing the fluid and the filter and hope for the best. Worst case is a new transaxle.
