I have a 2002 Mercury Sable. I go out and sometimes car will not crank after about 5 minutes it will crank. I have no problems the rest of the day. It does not happen everyday. I have been told that it sounds like the fuel pump. I have also been told that it could be the fuel relay switch. When car is warmed up I have no problem. It happens when car is first cranked in the mornings

Check your battery cable connections on the battery and at the coil for corrosion. If it won't crank, it's power/battery/starter related. If it cranks and won't start, then you can maybe say it's fuel.
