what could be the cause of my 2003 sable ls' turn signals not working-flashers not working-cruise not working and blower motor not working?

Asked by Jun 15, 2010 at 07:12 PM about the 2003 Mercury Sable LS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

As of 3 days ago, when you push the button to start the air blowing at a certain temperature, nothing happens. Defroster does not work either. Prior to that, a small clicking sound which seemed to happen behind the glove compartment could be heard. Replaced ac blower relay on the interior fuse panel, flasher relay and blower relay in fuse panel under hood. Now the brake lights, turn signal, and cruise control do not work. Any suggestions?

have you checked all the fuses? there should be an under dash fuse panel, the brake lights and turn signals are without a doubt on that. your owners manual will give you a diagram telling you which fuse is what..blower motor would also be in there....if the problem keeps spreading and you constantly blow fuses, you have a major electrical short somewhere, maybe caused by moisture in an electrical connector or something to that effect

Weird! My 2003 owners manual says blower and turn flasher are on different fuses. Same with the relays. Possibly a burned up fuse or relay socket(s)
