I HAVE A 2004 MERCURY MOUNTAINEER AND I BELIEVE I HAD THE AWD REMOVED, SO I BELIEVE I'M ONLY USING FRONT WHEEL DRIVE OR REAR WHEEL DRIVE. MY PROBLEM IS I HAVE THE HARDEST TIME REVERSING VEHICLE WHEN SNOW PILES BEHIND IT. IT TAKES ABOUT 10 MINUTES OF MANEUVERING AND SPINNING TIRES. WOULD THAT DAMAGE MY TRANSMISSION OR CAUSE ANY OTHER DAMAGE?

Hmm, not sure what is going on. I'm sure the AWD wasn't removed. Have a mechanic check it out.
