Regarding drive shafts

Ok so I have a problem I have a 04 mercury
mountaineer AWD needed a front drive shaft so I
picked on up at a salvage yard my problem is I was
told drive shafts need to be installed the same
position they where removed to maintain balance
how would this be done seem I'm changing the
shaft and using one off a different vehicle?

Nothing you can do in a different vehicle. Install the driveshaft.

Time driveshaft with the other one ,yokes same direction
