I have a 2005 mercury mountaineer and the front differential including tranfer case is out.The whole awd/abs system is out. How much is this to replace?

Very expensive, your best bet is to try a salvage yard for used components that have a guarantee, get it back to operational then get rid of it. Or just sell it as where is.

Yup! We've repaired two in our fleet so far. Not worth the investment, time or trouble.

I didn't answer your question: approximately $1000 to $1500 in parts from a reputable dismantler. 4 to 6 hours of labor and then there's the incidentals: small parts, fluids, seals etc. You could put $2K in it easy.
