Motor swap from a 2003 Ford Ranger Edge.3.0 to a 1998 Ford Ranger XLT 3.0

Asked by Jul 11, 2017 at 08:31 PM about the 1998 Ford Ranger XLT Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is it possible to replace the 1998 motor with the
2003 motor? The frame on the 2003 is bent, but
the motor is good. The 1998 has a bad motor, but
the body is good. Both are 3.0. BUT....there are
differences that I don't know how to swap. Wiring
harness, intake, exhaust and the 2003 is flex fuel. If
this is possible how?
