98 GT Mustang

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just purchased this car in January. A new fule pump was
put in by Auto Nation, where we purchased. Now when
the car gets hot it dies. If I let it cool off it will start for a
little while.  My mechanic says it needs a new computer.,
$500.  The guy that towed it in said it sounds like a crank
sensor. Has any one had this problem or have a
suggestion. Thanks for any help.

I wouldn't replace the computer just yet till you do more testing. Is the Check engine light on? Check your battery cables?

No, the check engine light never came on or it did not show hot. It just stopped running!
