Bad acceleration

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi I have a 1996 Mazda 626 and when I get to
55mph it doesn't want to accelarate any faster
unless I push the pedal all the way to the floor then
it goes. There's no check engine lights on. I need to
no what could possibly be making it do this. Oh by
the way the car has sat up for about 2 months.

Poor quality fuel, plugged fuel filter, partially restricted exhaust system, intake air restriction, electronic noise on some of the sensor circuits, corroded sensors or connectors, a live data scan will find this. HTH
