I have a 1997 Mazda 626 4 cylindr car and the overdrive light is blinking and causig the car to pull hard and not wnat to get speed as it should. What could be my problem?

Need an answer as to why the overdrive button is blinking in my 1997 Mazda 626 an making it not want to get speed. It makes the car not want to pull or go as it should. What could be my problem?

Something has gone bad in the tranny, could be a solenoid or wiring problem, try a transmission shop, they should have the instruments to check a rig of that vintage by now.
