Can I unplug the battery on my 2001 Mazda tribute without messing up my computer

Cetrainly. When you reconnect the battery the computer or ECM will relearn the engine running parameters. You might lose the radio presets, but that is easy to reset.

Im going to be buying a 2001 mazda tribute and the cars only is that he had changed the battery out and now the car will randomly shut off.... anyone know how to fix that????
