Vacuum hose

There is a vacuum hose on top of the transmission
panel and I would like to know what it hooks up to.

Most automatics with a vacuum port get vacuum from a port on the intake manifold but it could be a overflow to allow over-heated trans fluid to over-flow out of the trans.
